The Tennessee National Guard
The Tennessee National Guard is a branch of the United States Army, which is comprised of the Active, Guard, and Reserve components.

Most members of the National Guard serve their country on a part-time basis, all are citizen-soldiers.

Each state and territory has its own National Guard, as provided for by the Constitution of the United States.

The National Guard has a tradition of citizen-soldiers that spans more than 360 years.

The Proud Soldier
In the Guard you become a Soldier. What does it mean to be a Soldier? It’s being a part of noble tradition of service extending back almost 400 years.

It means you become a member of the best trained, best equipped, and most respected military force in history. It means you will make a difference.

The Chattanooga Recruiting Team
The Chattanooga Recruiting Team is a small group of veterans that are on full-time duty (AGR) with the Tennessee Army National Guard. We work hard in changing the image of the military recruiter.
We do this by ensuring that the applicant receives the correct information and by putting the needs of the applicant first. As a team we also assist (as trainers) our new Non-Prior enlistment's in their adjustment to a part-time military life in the RSP Program.

Defender of Freedom: Serve Your Community and Country!

The Army National Guard plays a key role in protecting our homeland and our communities.
At home, the Army National Guard helps state and local communities when natural disasters occur such as hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes.
Take Advantage of Part-Time Service

Most overlook the advantage of part-time military service. National Guard members are able to keep control their personal time while they serve as little as one weekend a month and two weeks a year.
Some choose to pursue a new career or maintain their current career.
Some may choose to do both, in The National Guard.

The advantage is our members simply get to make that choice.
Would you like to have that advantage?  Keep in mind not all members of the Army National Guard are called up for limited full-time service.
