about the Tennessee national guard Go Army.com
The Tennessee National Guard is a branch of the United States Army, which is comprised of the Active, Guard, and Reserve components.  Most members of the  National Guard serve their country on a part-time basis, all are citizen-soldiers.  Each state and territory had its own National Guard, as provided for by the Constitution of the United States.  The National Guard has a tradition of citizen-soldiers that spans more than 360 years.

Is joining the military something you’ve considered? If so consider attending the “Guard Experience”. You will find out the many benefits of the National Guard in a no pressure environment. Enjoy, free pizza and meet others like you who are considering the military. Attendance is limited. This is a ll part program.

When: 29th. May (6:00p.m.) Test before 01-June!
Where: Chattanooga, Tennessee at the National Guard Armory

Defender of freedom: serve your community and country
The Army National Guard plays a key role in protecting our homeland and our communities.  At home, the Army National Guard helps state and local communities when natural disasters occur such as hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes.

protecting against terrorism
Before and now more after the terrorists attack of September 11, 2001 Army National Guard units across the United States has played a key role in guarding against future terrorists attacks.  As a member of the National Guard you may find yourself protecting key infrastructure such as power plants, bridges, and airports.  National Guard members have also been called upon to provide additional security for large community events.

take advantage of part-time service
Most overlook the advantage of part-time military service.  National Guard members are able to keep control their personal time while they serve as little as one weekend a month and two weeks a year.  Some choose to attend college or other levels of education.  Some choose to pursue a new career or maintain their current career.  Some may choose to do both.  The advantage is our members simply get to make that choice.  Would you like to have that advantage?  Keep in mind not all members of the Army National Guard are called up for limited full-time service.

Chattanooga recruiting team
The Chattanooga Recruiting Team is a small group of veterans that are on full-time duty (AGR) with the Tennessee Army National Guard. We work hard in changing the image of the military recruiter. We do this by ensuring  that the applicant receives the correct information and by putting the needs of the applicant first.  As a team we also assist (as trainers) our new non-prior enlistment's in their adjustment to a part-time military life in the RSP program.
