The RSP Philosophy |
 |
(a)
To transform Tennessee Army National Guard new non-prior
enlistees into duty MOS qualified, high speed, fully
trained, mission ready, soldiers. These soldiers will be
prepared to participate and contribute as a full partner in
unit training.
(b) Focus for the RSP training. Instill
commitment; develop skill, character and a warrior ethos,
devoted to their unit and the Tennessee Army National Guard.
(c) Provide a significant decrease in
training pipeline losses. Maintain accountability of new
enlistees. Return a fully trained and fully qualified
soldier to the unit of enlistment and enhance the readiness
level of the Tennessee Army National Guard.

Physical
Training and Weight Control |
|
Physical Training (PT) and a routine
weigh-in will be an integral part of
each drill period to assist the new
enlistee in meeting the Army Physical
Fitness Test (APFT)
Standards and US Army weight control
standards.
Basic Training Information:
If
needed, instruction on the
principles of fitness and nutrition
will be ongoing and designed to
educate RSP soldiers on how they can
safely plan and conduct their own
physical training programs out of
RSP drill weekends.
